Taking into account the conditions of the article 1/11 in this regulation, student’s registration must meet these conditions:
1-the student must pass all the specialized courses and the accredited hours assessed in the article 5/2 and 29 in this regulation.
2- English level must be 400 in TOEFL or the fifth level in French.
3-the specialized scientific department holds a seminar concerning the master’s subject, and the importance, reason, study plan and aims of the master’s subject are discussed.
4-the student chooses his/her master’s subject on condition that it must be among the research plan which the specialized department council approved, and the master’s subject must be new and approved by the department council.
5-one of the professors or assistant professors must agree to supervise the student’s master approved by department council.
6-the student must prove that the master’s subject has not been enrolled or discussed before under an approved statement from the authority that is responsible for the scientific theses.
7-the student is allowed to make an immaterial modification any time through the duration of enrollment the thesis and before forming its judgment committee and he/ she can make a fundamental modification on the master’s subject and in this case, the modification is considered a new registration and starts a new duration for enrolling.
8-the request of registering a master’s degree is submitted to faculty dean and it is presented to the faculty council after considering the department council and the committee of the graduate studies’ view. The decision of the faculty council includes choosing master’s degree’s supervisors.
Supervising students and the registration cancellation
Supervising the students and the registration cancellation:
1-the supervisor provides the department council reports every six months showing the student’s progress in research and the recommendation of the department council concerning the student’s report is presented to the faculty council.
2-In the light of this report, the faculty council may cancel the registration according to the article (102) of the executive regulation of the universities regulation law.
*In all cases the master’s registration is canceled after passing three years starting from the date of registration unless the faculty council extends one year for once according to the supervisor’s report on the master after considering the specialized department council’s view.
1-faculty council appoints an advisor or more from teaching staff in the faculty according to the suggestion of the graduate studies and research committee.
2- the academic guide and the student make a study program on special form concerning the major of master including the basic (obligatory) and elective subjects according to the study plan and the conditions of admission, and this plan is revised quarterly to follow up student progress in his study.
