Attendance

 

1-If the absence of the student reaches more than 25% of the total approved hours of any course without acceptable excuse, he/she will be denied the final exam with a(D) grade, and the student has the right to withdraw from the course, if the duration of the withdrawing is still available.

2-If the student’s absence reaches more than 25% of the total approved hours of any course with an acceptable excuse which the graduate studies and research committee accepts it, the student will be a with drawer with a (W) in his/her record.

Dropping and adding

The student may add and drop any course before the end of the second week of the beginning of academic year, or the end of the first week of the summer. After registering the adding and the dropping in the registration form and approving it from the academic advisor, without showing the course which has been dropped in the academic record.

1-the student who spent at least one academic semester may ask for a postponement for a duration not exceeding two semesters in succession or separately, according to faculty council decision after taking into consideration the view of the graduate studies and research committee, and it must happen in the first mid-term of the second academic semester, and the student will be informed of the decision.

 

The student is allowed to withdraw from a course or more during the first week of the semester and it is not registered in the student record, and also is allowed to withdraw during the second week to the eighth week of the semester according to a special form, with word (withdrawer) in student’s academic record.

2-faculty council may agree on student withdrawing from all the courses he has registered at least two weeks before the final exams according to the convincing reasons considering the graduate studies and research committee’s opinion. The student is considered temporarily deferred if he/she does not exceed the permitted duration of the deferment, according to the article No. (21) in this regulation.

3- faculty council may approve on student withdrawing at least two weeks before the exams time, according to the convincing reasons, and it’s not allowed to the student whose GPA is less than (2/4) to reregister again.

4- if the student drops out two semesters in succession or separated, he is considered a withdrawer from the study and he is not allowed to re register without the approval of faculty council, according to the suggestion of graduate studies and research committee.

Warning

The graduate studies administration gives the first warning to the student in case of falling in the GPA, except the first semester, and a second warning in the following semester, and with the third warning, student will be expelled from the master program, and the duration of the postponement is not counted among the duration of warning.
